'LAWRENCE OF ARABIA'.

 

T. E. Lawrence was much admired by Winston Churcill.

After Lawrence led his Arab fighters to victory, over the Turks in the First World War, he rose to fame and became known as 'Lawrence of Arabia'.

In 1932, Lawrence purchased a Brough Superior, the original motorbike, of which this model is a copy. Like all of George Brough's motorbikes, the one that Lawrence bought was individually tailored to his own specification.

The SS100 was the top of the Brough range and was looked upon in those days as 'The Rolls-Royce of Motorcycles'.

Lawrence's machine was tuned to do well over 100 miles per hour - quite a speed for the early 1930s'
